Pastor Michael C. McDougald & Minister Carol McDougald |
|
Pastor McDougald was born in Scotland County to Ruth and Malcolm Buie and the late Howard McDougald. He played and was received in the small area community of John’s Station. A lot of his parenting and early direction was set in place by his grandparents, the late William and Ernestine Thomas. Granny was his heart.
At an early age, preaching the gospel was apparent in his life. His grandfather would call him his “little preacher” when he was only 3 years old. After receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost at age 15, God began to move in Michael’s life and soon after the call to the gospel ministry, he delivered his first sermon at the age of 17, titled “Please Forgive Me Lord For the Wrong I’ve Done”.
God began to use this young Minister. As life ventured on, his ministry led him to become the Associate Pastor at Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church under the tutorage of Dr. James C. McLean. There he was licensed to the gospel |

ministry and shortly after ordained by the Progressive Ministry Baptist Association.
In 2003, Rev. McDougald received the call to pastor Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Hoffman, NC. He was a faithful servant to the Lord and His will. The church experienced explosive growth in ministry, membership, missions and tools of the Gospel.
After serving nearly 4 years, God has placed Rev. McDougald in Baptist Union Missionary Baptist Church to further the ministry and vision that God has set forth in his life. This vision is so intertwined with the needs and spiritual desires of the church, thus showing once again that God has appointed people, places, purposes and times.
Rev. Michael C. McDougald is married to his High School sweetheart, Min. Carol McDougald and through the separate paths of life that they have taken, they have united together with four children.
Pray for Rev. McDougald and his family as they seek to point lost souls to Christ. Teaching them to be empowered by the gift of the Holy Ghost. Pray that they too can become powerful servants and witnesses for the Lord.
“Let this one last thing be your strongest request, that God keeps me humble as I desire to be at the foot of the Lord.” - Rev. Michael McDougald
